Reading is the mission
Children are secret agents at the Champ Academy, cracking reading “missions.”
7 days free for new members, then £4.99 a month or £39.99 a year until you cancel. You add a card to start.
AgentChamp turns reading into a secret-agent adventure. In Adventure Champ stories, your child doesn't just read: they decide what happens next. Every choice changes the plot, and every mission hides six different endings, so they'll go back again and again until they've found them all.
Plus a library of quick reads, longer stories and phonics practice to explore between missions, all matched to your child's reading level.
No nagging. No bribes. Just a child who chooses to read.
And behind the fun, AgentChamp is quietly doing the serious work: comprehension built on National Curriculum reading skills, and progress you can actually see.

It is built around one idea: children read more when the reading itself is the reward.
Every child joins as a rookie agent and levels up by reading. They earn Champ Coins for the endings they discover, hunt down Champion Words (curriculum spelling words hidden inside every story) and climb the ranks from Rookie Reader all the way to Ultimate AgentChamp.
The whole library is levelled by Book Band and year group, from first phonics missions to full branching adventures, so children always read at just the right challenge. And it runs in any web browser today, with no downloads and no installs. Apps for phones and tablets are on the way.
Two ways in: same missions, same progress, one agent.
Every pupil reads at least half the library free, from 8am to 4pm on school days in term time. The School Licence adds the full library, reading at home and per-skill CHAMP progress, from £3 a pupil a year at the founding price (minimum £250).
Find out moreThe Family plan opens the full library at home and at school, from £4.99 a month. If your school has a School Licence, the full library and reading at home are already included.
Find out moreSix agents. Six reading skills. From Captain Connect, who links the clues, to Summary Steve, who wraps up every debrief in as few words as possible, your child's squad is waiting.
Find out moreLong books lose them. Missions don't. Stories are short enough to finish in one sitting, adventure missions turn on choices that change what happens next, and reading banks the coins that buy their agent's kit.
An immersive reading experience where reading is the game, so the reward isn't after the reading, it is the reading.

No mini-games bolted on: every choice, ending, coin and rank comes from reading the story itself, so the reward for reading is more reading.

Every story is levelled by Book Band and year group, from phonics missions to branching adventures: children always read at just the right challenge.

Quiz questions practise National Curriculum reading skills through our CHAMPS framework (inference, retrieval, analysis, vocabulary, predictions and summarise), so the game maps to what school measures.

Champion Words hide National Curriculum vocabulary and key story words inside every story, a tap-any-word dictionary is one touch away, and every word found lands in their word vault.

Six endings to collect in every Adventure Champ mission, Champ Coins to spend on their agent's wardrobe, and twelve ranks to climb from Rookie Reader to Ultimate AgentChamp.

Audio narration with synchronised highlighting, dyslexia-friendly themes and adjustable text make independent reading possible for more children.
How a mission works
Pick a story matched to their Book Band and year group.
Their decisions genuinely change what happens next.
Six endings and hidden words reward close reading.
Endings, words and passed quizzes all bank coins for their avatar.
Four ways to read
One library, four kinds of mission, so the platform meets a child at phonics and is still stretching them in Year 6.

Branching stories where choices genuinely change the plot, levelled by Book Band for Years 1-6.

Short intel drops: complete stories under 2,000 words.

Deeper, full-length missions for confident readers, ending in the CHAMP debrief.

Sound-it-out missions for Reception to Year 2: decodable single-path stories.
Six endings per story
Better endings earn more Champ Coins, so children re-read by choice, taking different paths to collect all six, with a bonus waiting when they do.

The route's last page ends at the Reveal Ending button.

The payoff: the ending card unlocks and banks its Champ Coins.
Dinosaurs this week, volcanoes next, football forever? AgentChamp can write a brand-new mission about whatever your child loves, matched to their Book Band, checked against their year group's vocabulary, and ready in about fifteen to twenty minutes. You approve it before it reaches the shelf.
Teachers use it to build stories around class topics. Parents use it to catch the interest of the week before it passes. Children just see the best kind of magic: a story that feels like it was written for them. Because it was.
The debrief

Every story finishes with up to six questions, one per CHAMP skill, read aloud on demand, with Champ Coins unlocking at 60%. And we never test memory: the "Re-read my mission" button reopens the exact pages your child just read, so the answer is always found back in the text.

Progress they can hold up
Every ending, Champion Word and passed quiz banks progress a child can see: medals for the milestones, and Champ Coins to spend in the Agent Locker.

Every word they recover is filed by year-group tier and tappable for its meaning.

Commendations for reading milestones, with the rest still classified.

Level, Book Band, coins and books read on one dossier card.

Coins buy hair, glasses, tops, trousers, shoes, backpacks and gadgets.
Every child has one agent, theirs to keep. Champ Coins earned by reading unlock hair, glasses, tops, trousers, shoes, bags and gadgets, so the same agent can look completely different by next week.
